VersiSearch.com/0.0.3 - Webmaster Guide
VersiSearch robot is a indexing
spider, that means that it's job is to automaticly gathers raw data from we pages and store it into a databace. Once data is in the databace converts it so it can be searched by users, you can search the index at anytime from the homepage at VersiSearch.com.
This robot
is curently under development, but it is also actively in use. If you have some type of problem with the bot please contact
development team here, and I'll do my best to help you. If possable please sent a log file, this will help me find out what happend. If you do not want the VersiSearch spider to look at your site, please using the
Standard for Robots Exclusion (robots.txt) and\or the Robots META Tag. VersiSearch supports both. If you make a change to the robots.txt file after the site has allrealy been indexed by the VersiSearch bot, the site will be removed the next time we come back to update your page.
Hints to get better ranking in VersiSearch:
- URL
- Top Leval Domain.
- URL is related to content of page
- Meta Tags
- Keyword Tag
- Don't over do it, have about 10 to 25 keywords. If you go over your page maybe maked as index spam.
- Don't repeat the same words over and over again. If you do this your page maybe marked as index spam.
- Author
- This tag is used to help rank your site, but it does not count against you if you don't use it
- Description Tag
- Use this tag, plain and simple!
- Web page Title
- If possible do not use the same title on every page, if you do it may effect your rank.
- Redirects
- VersiSearch as follow most redirects, but it's best not to use a lot of them
